Monster High is an American CGI-animated series based on Mattel's fashion doll franchise of the same name. The series' showrunner is Shea Fontana, who previously developed another Mattel reboot (Polly Pocket). The series premiered on Nickelodeon on October 6, 2022.[1][2]

Premise[]

The series follows Clawdeen Wolf, Draculaura and Frankie Stein as they navigate the hilarity of high school in the hallowed halls of Monster High.

Production[]

On February 23, 2021, Mattel, through its television division, announced the second return of the Monster High brand, promising new content and products for the following year, including an animated TV series and a live-action musical film.[3]

Shea Fontana, a writer who had previously worked with Mattel on the 2018 reboot of Polly Pocket, is the series' showrunner and co-executive producer.

On July 13, 2022, the cast was announced with Gabrielle Nevaeh Green as Clawdeen Wolf, Courtney Lin as Draculaura and Iris Menas as Frankie Stein.[4]

On September 26, 2022, it was announced that the series would premiere on October 28, 2022;[5] however, the series began airing on October 6, 2022, branded as a sneak peek.[1][2]
