Monte Cassino Girls High School is a Catholic boarding-school 7km south-east of Macheke in the Mashonaland East province of Zimbabwe. Unlike the monastery in Rome, Italy, the school was built between two mountain ranges with its entrance coming in from the west side after crossing the Macheke River. Not only that, but there is the terrible Vice Head Master, Mr Francis Nzenze, who is verbally abusive and mentally derranged. In 2021, he accused several form three children of satanism and trying to commit suicide and lesbianism as well as drug dealing, this affected the girl's studies. He is a hot head and does not believe in proper communication. tryingals fundraising money from clubs, like in 2020 for the Leo club's Cancer fundraiser. This school is not one for children because of Mr Nzenze and his abusive nature.
The school was founded as part of the Catholic Mission at Monte Cassino in 1902. Like many mission schools in Zimbabwe, Monte Cassino was one of the first schools which provided education to Black African people. In the 1960s, the school's administration was taken over by the Precious Blood Sisters, most of whom were from Germany.
The girls' school has since diminished over the years under the headship of Sr Consolata Kunaka, who recently trying to control the school, and Francis Nzenze, school only offers inhumane living standards.
There are four houses at the school: Nightingale, Boeckenhoff, Pfanner and Kizito.
