Moovweb is an American software company based in San Francisco, California. Its flagship product, Moovweb XDN, provides development and deployment tooling for website frontends. The product claims to deliver content to the end-user in less than one second.[2] The platform targets large, database-driven websites, such as e-commerce shops and travel websites. Moovweb customers include 1-800-Flowers,[3] Shoe Carnival, Feelunique,[4] Venus Fashion, and United Airlines.
Moovweb is a main contributor to React Storefront, an open-source e-commerce PWA framework.
Moovweb's legacy products include mobile checkout optimization product MoovCheckout and MoovAdapt, a cloud-based platform that ports desktop websites to mobile websites using responsive web design and standard web technologies such as CSS3, HTML5 and JavaScript.[5][6]
The company was founded in 2009 by Ajay Kapur and Ishan Anand with $700,000 invested by Andy Bechtolsheim,[6] and has since raised $16.7 million in venture funding.[7][8]
As of April 24, 2021, Moovweb has rebranded itself as Layer0 with a new domain name https://www.layer0.co/. Archive.org comparisons of their site before[9] and after[10] the change show that most everything remains the same.
