Morgoth /ˈmɔːrɡɒθ/ is a small dark region on the surface of Pluto, southwest of the Norgay Montes and adjacent to Quidlivun Cavus. The New Horizons spacecraft discovered it in 2015 and named it Morgoth, the primary antagonist in Tolkien's legendarium, the mythology of J. R. R. Tolkien.
