Mount Ayres
Mount Ayres (79°20′S 156°28′E / 79.333°S 156.467°ECoordinates: 79°20′S 156°28′E / 79.333°S 156.467°E) is a prominent mountain, 2,500 metres (8,200 ft) high, lying 10 miles (16 km) south of the west end of the Finger Ridges in the Cook Mountains of Antarctica. It was climbed in December 1957 by the of the Commonwealth Trans-Antarctic Expedition (1956–58), and named for , one of the two men comprising the Darwin Glacier Party.
