Mount Charlton is a rural locality in the Mackay Region, Queensland, Australia.[2] In the 2016 census Mount Charlton had a population of 150 people.[1]
Geography[]
There are two neighbourhoods in the locality:
- Camerons Pocket is a (20°57′00″S 148°44′00″E / 20.95°S 148.7333°E)[3]
- Kungurri (21°04′22″S 148°43′47″E / 21.0727°S 148.7297°E)[4]
The locality has the following mountains:
- Bluff Hill (21°02′45″S 148°46′00″E / 21.0459°S 148.7667°E) at 380 metres (1,250 ft) above sea level[5][6]
- Crazy Cat Mountain (20°58′33″S 148°42′48″E / 20.9759°S 148.7134°E) 377 metres (1,237 ft)[5][7]

History[]
Mount Charlton State School opened on 4 March 1931.[11]
In the 2016 census Mount Charlton had a population of 150 people.[1]
