Mount Chetwynd

Mount Chetwynd (

76°20′S 162°2′E / 76.333°S 162.033°E / -76.333; 162.033Coordinates: 76°20′S 162°2′E / 76.333°S 162.033°E / -76.333; 162.033) is a mountain, over 1,944 metres (6,378 ft) high, immediately south of Mount Gauss in the Kirkwood Range of Victoria Land. It was discovered by the British National Antarctic Expedition, 1901–04, and named for , a naval friend of Scott's, who was later Superintendent of Compasses at the Admiralty.
