Mount Krebs

Mount Krebs (

84°50′S 170°20′W / 84.833°S 170.333°W / -84.833; -170.333Coordinates: 84°50′S 170°20′W / 84.833°S 170.333°W / -84.833; -170.333) is a prominent rock peak, 1,630 metres (5,350 ft) high, surmounting the central part of the main ridge of Lillie Range, 4 nautical miles (7 km) north of , in the foothills of the Prince Olav Mountains, Antarctica. It was discovered by the U.S. Ross Ice Shelf Traverse Party (1957–58) under A.P. Crary, and named by him for Commander , U.S. Navy, helicopter and airplane pilot of U.S. Navy Squadron VX-6 during Operation Deep Freeze.[1]
