Mount Mervyn

Mount Mervyn (

70°31′S 65°13′E / 70.517°S 65.217°E / -70.517; 65.217Coordinates: 70°31′S 65°13′E / 70.517°S 65.217°E / -70.517; 65.217) is a very sharp peak standing south of the main body of the Porthos Range in the Prince Charles Mountains of Antarctica, about 6 nautical miles (11 km) south of Mount Kirkby. It was sighted in December 1956 by an Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions southern party led by , and named for , a weather observer at Mawson Station in 1956.[1][2]
