Mount Peter (Antarctica)

Mount Peter (70°11′S 64°56′E / 70.183°S 64.933°E / -70.183; 64.933Coordinates: 70°11′S 64°56′E / 70.183°S 64.933°E / -70.183; 64.933) is a large dome-shaped rock outcrop with a flat, sheer north face, about four kilometres (two nautical miles) east of Mount Bechervaise in the Athos Range, Prince Charles Mountains in Antarctica within the Australian Antarctic Territory. First visited in November 1955 by an ANARE (Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions) party led by J.M. Bechervaise. Named by Antarctic Names Committee of Australia (ANCA) for , geologist at Mawson Station, 1955–1956.
