Mugguru Monagallu (2021 film)

Mugguru Monagallu (transl. Three courageous men) is a 2021 Indian Telugu-language comedy thriller film directed by Abhilash Reddy.^[1][2] Produced by Achut Ramarao .P through Chitra Mandhir Studio, the film stars Srinivasa Reddy, Dheekshith Shetty and Vennala Ramarao in lead roles.^[3] The film was released on 6 August 2021.^[4][5]

Plot[]

There were three people. One of them was blind Vennala Ramarao as Deepak, who is an expert dog instructor. Another one was deaf Srinivasa Reddy as Sushanth, who worked at an internet service provider company. The last one was dumb Dheekshith Shetty as chandrathreya kishore, who worked at a library as a librarian. The movie revolves about the serial murders taking place in the city of hyderabad, and how these three people along with the police nab the killer. The common point in all murders are that dead person is politician of ruling party . One day a man named Shambhavi nayakar come to deepak and gave his German shepherd dog for training him . Deepak identified his perfume of named ck (Calvin Klein). Nayakar got impressed and told him that he was right .Now in library a girl named Anjali came regularly and Chandra has a crush on her . He talks to her with chits. Nayyar come to library and read a history book related to death of kings. Chandra found something is fishy. Chandra proposes Anjali by books in creative way then she ask him for coffee by showing book named coffee . At their supposed meeting, she tells him by writing that she is also dumb, and she already know that he is dumb. Here sushant 's boss give him an address and order him to go there and to fix some wifi related problem . There sushant see a man in king costume murdering a man who is politician. He make a video of it . On other side German shepherd take deepak to two murder place where he found dead bodies, from one he found a pen and on other he found a watch .Both these things has a smell related to perfume which is used by nayakar's. Next day, when Nayakar come to meet the German shepherd barks at him. Deepak turns suspicious . Chandra notice that all three murders take place in same style and with weird weapon as stated in history book read by Nayakar . Deepak, Chandra and Sushanth go to police station and tell all clues to police . Police catch nayakar and nayakar confess that all murders are done by his son who is psycho and he want to become king . Police who were confused now started targeting of that psycho. Chandra suggest it may be MP and minister . He was right police went to MP house and caught psycho red handed . Psycho was going to kill MP by trishul like weapon. Now police arrest nayakar and his son and thank the trio .But after one day news come that MP is murdered in same as it suppose to be by Psycho . Police realise all murders are done by trio but someone is their master mind . There trio go to hospital in disguise as doctors and minister is dead due removing ventilator. Few months bach flasback is shown that trio meet a scientist researcher and he tell them to do all the murders because the politicians and nayakar are smuggling snakes and they kill scientist's daughter by using nayakar's son because she knew about their racket . They all provoke nayakar son to do all this . Now it is revealed that scientist has killed the minister. Despite police is knowing can not do anything because all murder are done psycho accoding to evidence and people believe that minister dead due to his critical health condition. Movie ends with the trio happily enjoying the money .

Production[]

Filming was done in the second half of 2020.^[6] The title of the film is borrowed from K. Raghavendra Rao's 1994 Telugu film of the same name.^[7]

Release and reception[]

In July 2021, the release date of the film was announced as 6 August 2021.^[8][9] The film was premiered on Amazon Prime Video on 2 October 2021. 123Telugu gave a rating of 2.5 out of 5 and wrote that "Mugguru Mongallu is a comedy thriller that tries too hard to impress. Though Srinivasa Reddy and a few thrills impress, the film fails to create an impact and is neither a good thriller and a comedy caper."^[10]
