The Mumbai Falcons are an Indian motorsports team established by Mumbai Falcons racing limited's owner Ameet Harjinder Gadhoke, Navjeet Singh Gadhoke[1] and Teja Ranade Gadhoke in November 2019.[2] Moid Tungekar is the CEO of Mumbai Falcons.[3][4] Its main operational headquarter is located in Pune, Maharashtra.[5] The aims to develop a sustainable motorsports team and build a world class racing track that will serve as a hub for motorsports, go-karting, speed summits, formula racing, etc.[6] The team originally debuted in the year 2019 X1Racing at Buddh International Circuit and Madras Motor Race Track[7] followed by Formula 3 Asian Championship, 2021 held at the Dubai Autodrome.[8]

History[]

The team was founded in November 2019 by Gadhoke Group. They made their debut in November 2019 in the X1RL league with their 5 drivers Kush Maini, Mikkel Jensen, Pippa Mann, Karthik Tharani and Sohil Shah. They entered F3 Asian championship in 2021.[9] The team became the first Indian team to compete[10] and finish in the top 3[11][12][13] in F3 Asian Championship with the drivers Kush Maini and Jehan Daruvala.[14][15] The team had Armaan Ebrahim as team principal. It was also mentored by Kapil Dev.[16] The team's cars were operated by Prema Powerteam.

On 19 August 2021,[citation needed] Mumbai Falcons confirmed that they are bringing the Formula Regional Championship to India.[17] The Series will start from March 2022. Mumbai falcons will be represented by Anindith in Formula Regional Championship.[18] This will be India's first FIA-sanctioned tournament.[19]

On 20 February 2022, Mumbai Falcons secured a Historic Double Victory in the Formula Regional Asian Championship held at UAE winning both the Driver and Teams Championship.
