Mylène Farmer 2019 is a concert residency by French recording artist Mylène Farmer at the Paris La Défense Arena in Nanterre, France. It began on 7 June 2019 and concluded on 22 June 2019. It is Farmer's first concerts since 2013.[1]

Background[]

In 2013, Farmer went on tour to promote her album Monkey Me, before taking a break from performing.[2] She released her album Interstellaires in November 2015, but did not promote the album with a concert tour. The show was announced in October 2018, one month after the release of the singer's eleventh studio album Désobéissance. The tour was designed for specially for La Défense Arena, which no other concerts planned for other venues.[3] Farmer had six costumes designed by Jean Paul Gaultier.[4] The show featured themes from Game of Thrones, Blade Runner and Metropolis.[5]

On 13 October 2018, the tickets for the first six shows were available to the general public.[6] Due to high demand, two more shows were announced for 18 and 19 June. In February 2019, the ninth show was announced, scheduled for 22 June.[7] It is estimated between 235,000[8] and 240,000[9] tickets were sold.

On 7th November 2019 the live film of the concert was also shown in cinemas for one date only.[10]The screening had a total of 155 000 spectators around the world (130 000 in France), the concert was shown in 18 different countries and 625 cinemas.[11] On New Years Eve 2020, the film aired on television, drawing in 1.3 million viewers. It would later be added to Amazon Prime, alongside a documentary, L'Ultime Création.[12] A live album titled Live 2019 was released on 18 October 2019.
