Nada Hafez (born 28 August 1997) is an Egyptian sabre fencer.[1] She competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics,[2] and 2020 Summer Olympics, in Sabre.[3]

Career[]

Nada started gymnastics when she was 4 years old. However, when she was 12 years old. she had to go through a leg bone deformity reshaping surgery. Afterwards, it was not feasible to proceed with the gymnastics sports. At the age of 13 years old, she started to excel and winning all her age category competitions. Since 2014 she became a member of the Egyptian national senior fencing sabre women´s team. In 2015 she won her first Egyptian senior women´s sabre national republic competition. Nada is on the top of Egyptian national rank since 2014.

In 2016 she qualified through the African zonal qualification (Algeria) to the Olympics of Rio 2016.

In 2021 she qualified to the Tokyo as the Top ranked athlete from Africa. Nada won 1 silver (2018) and 2 bronze (2019,2014) African zonal championship. She also won the bronze medal at Belgium Tournoi satellite.

Personal life[]

Nada is a very successful student who have always excelled during her studies. She is currently studying school of medicine at Cairo university. Nada has 2 older siblings.

Nada won the queen of Egyptian sports beauty awarded Tatweeg news 2021.
