Nadine White is a British journalist.

In March 2021 she joined The Independent as the first dedicated race correspondent in UK journalism.[1]

Early life[]

White was born in Brixton, London, to Jamaican parents. She attended south London schools before graduating from the University of London.

Career[]

Before joining the Independent she was working as a journalist for HuffPost between 2018 and 2021, leading coverage around race.

In January 2021, White was accused by UK government equalities minister Kemi Badenoch of undermining trust in the COVID-19 vaccination programme, charges which White denied.[2]
