History[]

Nanobit is the inspiring success story of two young programmers. In 2008, Alan Sumina and Zoran Vučinić, back then students, developed the Tap and Track iOS application[5] for monitoring and recording calories intake. Before they knew it, the application galvanised media attention in the UK and USA, namely the New York Times,[6] Harvard Health and The Guardian[7] Within just one year, it reached 300,000 downloads generating the first one million dollars for the two young programmers.

What started as a passion application development project back in 2008, has evolved into a leading successful multi-million game development studio. Nanobit’s team has since grown to reach over 130 experts driven by an unwavering mission to put extra into ordinary.[8]

Business development, growth and success[]

For over a decade, Nanobit independently designed, developed and distributed its products - mobile games. It managed to scale up its operations and extend its reach to 155 countries with a focus on the United States and the United Kingdom markets. Nanobit has marked its journey with stunning achievements and successes. From 2013 to 2018, it grew its revenues by three folds and it thus secured its rank, for two years in a row, at the Financial Times list of Europe’s Fastest Growing Companies.[9]

To date, its games have amassed over 155 million downloads and its vibrant community of users has reached 10 million monthly active players across the globe. Its team has over 130 experts of diverse backgrounds and areas of expertise: art, design, mathematics, writing, content creation, programming and engineering. Through its narrative, lifestyle and role-playing games, Nanobit's does not only provide fun games, but it also creates immersive experiences for its growing players base.[8]

After recording impressive growth, Nanobit embarked on a new journey, in 2019, to extend its reach to new markets through the localization of its games. It’s amazing, super-fun games are now within the reach of non-english speakers across several countries and 10 languages: Arabic, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Turkish.

In April 2020, Nanobit has expanded its footprints to enter a new market through its strategic partnership with Tamatem,[10] a leading Arabic-speaking mobile game publisher[10] which localized Nanobit's superhit Hollywood Story: Fashion Star game.[11] The partnership has paved the way for Nanobit to access a new market with games that have proven to be successful. The localised version of the game under the title "Fashion Queen" has fast reached 3.5 million downloads in just a few months.[10]
