Natalie E. Brown is a career member of the Senior Foreign Service, class of Counselor. In 2019, she was nominated to be the Ambassador to Uganda,[1] and her nomination was confirmed on August 6, 2020. She arrived in Uganda the weekend of October 31, 2020.[2] She presented her credentials on November 17, 2020.[3] She previously served as the Chief of Mission and Chargé d'Affaires of the U.S. Embassy in Asmara, Eritrea from September 2016 to November 2019.[4]
Brown earned a Bachelor of Science from the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service in 1988 and was awarded her Master of Science from the U.S. Marine Corps Command and Staff College in 1999.[1]
