Natech S.A. is a Greek independent software vendor (ISV).

History[]

The company was founded in 1983 under the trading name Computer Store. It focused on delivering software and IT services mainly to cooperative institutions in Greece.

In 2010, Natech became a Microsoft Silver ISV Partner.[1] In 2011, Natech implemented its web banking suite to 4 Cooperative Banks,[2][3] started to deploy its core banking solutions to currency exchange firms and payment institutions,[4][5] and was certified ISO 9001:2008.[4] In 2012, Natech was awarded the project to implement the software for payments and transfers within the SEPA union for Greece's Loan and Consignment Fund, the largest fund in Greece.[6] and establishes a branch in Athens. As of 2012, Natech had served over 10 out of 16 of the Greek Cooperative Banks with its Core Banking Solution (CSB).[7] Since 2012 and after the banking sector consolidation in Greece which led to the resolution of many cooperative banks, the company realigned its strategy and started servicing a broader range of Financial Institutions and Banks with various Banking Payment Products.</ref>[8][5] It opened a second branch in Athens and established a global partnership network to cater to the SME Banking Sector[9]

In 2016 and in effort to approach new developers, the company tried to establish a with the assistance of other local IT Vendors. However the excessive brain drain in the prefecture of Epirus, which is amongst the 20 poorest regions in Europe together with the prolonged recession period was a strong impediment to the company's employment growth efforts. Later on the company resided to the local authorities and the University to attract talent from abroad[10] Still in 2016, the Cooperative Bank of Epirus launched a video customer service 7/7 through Natech.CSB web platform for the Bank's e-banking users,[11] and Natech was certified under ISO 27001:201. In January 2017, the Greek branch of MoneyGram rolled out Natech Pay for walk-in payment centers and external retail agents. In 2018, Natech launched the new generation Core Banking System CSB2, leading to several partnerships with large clients including Ziraat Bankası, Tora Wallet (OPAP group), Crédit Agricole, Cooperative Bank of Thessaly.[12] In March 2018, Natech signed a partnership with PaymentComponents to implement its open banking API framework within Natech's CSB2.[13] In 2019 Natech expanded its presence with its Berlin branch and new extroversion steps.[14] During 2020 Natech keeps expanding its operations and serves its customers seamlessly through new products and solutions customised to customers' needs.[15] In 2020 Ziraat Bank Greece switches to Natech banking suite.[16] Ziraat Bank the oldest Turkish bank has gone live on Natech Core Banking CSB2 and Poseidon AML flagship systems in its Greek branches.[16] In 2020 Natech launched ARTEMIS mobile banking app - a useful digital tool for the banking transformation - especially during the Covid-19 era.[17] The same year IBS intelligence characterised Natech as one of the top Greek FinTech companies which revolutionise the financial space.[18] Natech in 2021 was characterised as one of the top Fintech companies in the Greek market by Daily Finance.[19]In June 2021 the largest Bank in Epirus Region switches to Natech banking suite for its branch network: Core Banking CSB2, POSEIDON AML, APOLLO web banking and ARTEMIS mobile banking achieving optimization of its operating processes and enhanced services to its customers.[20] During 2021 Natech has already started making inroads in the European industry and beyond [21] and starts its open banking services though the strategic partnership with Fincludia[22]
