The Nauru Police Force is the law enforcement agency of the island state of Nauru.

History[]

The force was established through the Nauru Police Force Act of 26 January in 1972, which has been amended several times.[1]

Ranks[]

The Nauru Police Force has the following ranks, modeled after the Australian Federal Police:[2]

  • reserve officer

Weapons[]

Police in Nauru is not armed, although in 2003 the police was found to possess 23 weapons.[3]
