Nazar Chepurnyi (born 3 September 2002)[1] is a Ukrainian artistic gymnast. He participated in the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics and the 2019 Junior World Artistic Gymnastics Championships.

Career[]

In 2016, he competed in the junior team competition at the 2016 European Men's Artistic Gymnastics Championships held in Bern, Switzerland.[2]

In 2018, he won the gold medal in the horizontal bar event at the 2018 Gymnasiade held in Marrakesh, Morocco.[3] He also won the bronze medal in the rings and the silver medal in the all-around event.[3] In the same year, he also won the silver medal in the vault event at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics held in Buenos Aires, Argentina.[4][5] He finished in 4th place in the floor exercise and also in 4th place in the parallel bars event. He also won the gold medal in the mixed multi-discipline team event.

At the 2019 Junior World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Győr, Hungary, he won the gold medal in the horizontal bar.[1][6] He also won the silver medal in the men's team event and the bronze medal in the men's floor event.[1][7] He also competed at the 2019 European Youth Summer Olympic Festival in Baku, Azerbaijan winning a total of three gold medals and one silver medal. He won the gold medal in the men's team event, on the pommel horse and in the floor exercise and the silver medal in the rings.
