Neil Young concert chronology |
The Neil Young & Crazy Horse 1969 and 1970 tours were concert tours by Canadian musician Neil Young and his band Crazy Horse. It was in support of his, 1969 album, Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere. It featured many songs from the upcoming album After The Gold Rush.
History[]
Young recruited three musicians from a band called The Rockets: Danny Whitten on guitar, Billy Talbot on bass guitar, and Ralph Molina on drums. These three took the name Crazy Horse (after the historical figure of the same name), and Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere was released in May 1969. At the end of the 1969 tour Neil Young joined Crosby Stills & Nash and toured with them from August 1969 to January 1970. He then completed another short tour with Crazy Horse in 1970. At these shows there was an acoustic half followed by an electric half with Crazy Horse.[1][2][3]
