Neobarbara is a genus of moths belonging to the family Tortricidae.[1] It contains only one species, Neobarbara olivacea, which is found in China (Qinghai).[2]

The wingspan is about 10 mm. The forewings are olive-green with cream white tips of the scales. The hindwings are light greyish brown.

The larvae feed on Picea asperata, Picea purpurea and Picea wilsonii. The larvae have a cream-yellow body and dark brown head.

Etymology[]

The genus name is derived from Greek neos (meaning new) and the genus name Barbara and refers to the close relationship of both genera.[3]
