The Neon Saints Brass Band are a 12-piece brass band originating from Brighton, England,[1] combining funk, soul, jazz and hip-hop with the second line (parades) tradition of New Orleans.

The band released their debut single "Money" in July 2015 and their album Show Me Something followed in October.

Details[]

The Neon Saints Brass Band were formed in 2013 and 2014.

The band is made up of eight brass players, two drummers, and two lead vocalists. The brass section includes two tenor saxophones, three B♭ trumpets, a slide trombone, sousaphone and marching trombone—which once belonged to John Entwistle from The Who.[citation needed]

The band's debut album, Show Me Something, was recorded in July 2015 at Brighton Electric studios.

The Neon Saints Brass Band plays regularly in music clubs and venues across Brighton, London and the south-east of England. In 2014, they played at the Love Supreme Festival supporting Jamie Cullum and Snarky Puppy—their song "Coming Out The Door" was featured as part of Jazz FM (UK)'s coverage of the festival and was broadcast live on Nigel Williams' Saturday show. In 2015 they opened the main stage of the Together The People festival supporting Martha Reeves and Billy Bragg.

In 2018 the band played on The Go! Team's studio album Semicircle.[2]
