Netlist Inc. is a multinational company headquartered in Irvine, California that designs, manufactures and sells high-performance SSDs and modular memory subsystems to enterprise customers in diverse industries. It also manufactures a line of specialty and legacy memory products to storage customers, appliance customers, system builders and cloud and datacenter customers. Netlist holds a portfolio of patents in the areas of server memory, hybrid memory, storage class memory, rank multiplication and load reduction. Netlist has more than 80 employees and an annual revenue of US $47.2 million as of 2020[4] The stock was added to NASDAQ in late 2006.[5] In the initial public offering of its common stock in 2006, Netlist sold 6,250,000 shares at $7.00 each.[6] On September 26, 2018, Netlist announced they were moving from NASDAQ and currently trades on the OTCQB.

As of 2019, Netlist was reportedly in favorable claim for patents infringed upon by Google[7] and South Korean Company, SK Hynix.[8] The company, founded by former LG Corporation employee Hong Chun-ki[9] (also named Chun Ki Hong[10] and Chun K. Hong) in 2000, has been under a license contract with Samsung Electronics since 2015.[11] On June 15, 2020 the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit[12] upheld the validity of Netlist's U.S. Patent No. 7,619,912[13] which it had asserted against Google with respect to DDR3 and DDR4 memory usage.
