Nevan

Nevan (Irish: Naomhán, pronounced [ˈn̪ˠiːwaːnˠ]; meaning "saintly, holy",[1][2] "little saint",[2] or "follower of the saint"[3]) was a saint in Irish folklore whose feast day was reputedly marked in mid-September.[4] His name is rarely used as a given name for boys.[5][not verified in body]

In English it is commonly pronounced as /ˈnɛvən/ NEV-ən, but is more closely approximated as /ˈnɛvɑːn/ NEV-ahn.[citation needed]

With a different origin, Nevan is also a popular Islamic name found throughout North Africa, Arabia, and the Indian subcontinent.[6][7]
