Nolan Evans (1885–1948), sometimes known as Peggy Evans, was an English professional footballer who played in the Football League for Clapton Orient as a left back.[1][3]

Personal life[]

Evans worked as a miner.[2] He served as a sergeant in the Football Battalion of the Middlesex Regiment during the First World War.[4] Evans was wounded in the thigh at Delville Wood and nearly lost the leg as a result.[5] He was wounded again in March 1918 and the effects caused his retirement from football.[5]
