The Nureongi^[1] are mongrel dogs with yellowish coloring.^[2]^[3] The term is the transliteration of the Korean word "누렁이" meaning "yellow one”.^[3]

There are several meanings of nureongi ("누렁이"), which basically means yellowy:^[4]

A yellow object or animal.
A dog or cow with yellow fur.
A common language expression for golden.
