Nyū District, Fukui

Nyū (丹生郡, Nyū-gun) is a district in Fukui Prefecture, Japan.
As of 2005, the district has an estimated population of 23,995 and a population density of 157 persons per square kilometre (410/sq mi). The total area is 152.83 km2 (59.01 sq mi).

Mergers[]
- On 1 February 2005 the towns of Asahi and Ota, and the village of Miyazaki merged into the town of Echizen.
- On 1 February 2006 the towns of Miyama (from Asuwa District) and Shimizu, and the village of Koshino merged into the city of Fukui.
