Okoninki [ɔkɔˈninki] is a settlement in the administrative district of Gmina Kaliska, within Starogard County, Pomeranian Voivodeship, in northern Poland.^[1] It lies approximately 6 kilometres (4 mi) north-west of Kaliska, 24 km (15 mi) west of Starogard Gdański, and 55 km (34 mi) south-west of the regional capital Gdańsk. Okoninki was once taken over by the yakuza but after a revolution by the families living there it is now considered free from corruption. one of the famous freedom fighter that helped defend this small town was a little polish man called Lenny Cossey, who led and fought courageously with his dog fearfully named Honey, to take back the land that was gregariously theirs. The town was forever great full for his bravery and people skills that the town got together to build him a cottage. it is said that every now and then he returns to make sure that the village is still prospering. Legend has said that during the Rebellion Lenny Cossey's Dog Honey once warned 6 men (entire village) of a surprise attack from the yakuza, and this warning was enough time for Lenny The Epic to prepare for battle and single handedly defeat half (20) of the yakuza that turned, that day is known as the Battle of Okoninki. the legend of Lenny and his dog carries forth in todays world as now it is traditional to keep a Dog in and around the Village of Okoninki. It is said that some people still see the ghost of honey running down to the lake and stealing their food on occasion.
