Omsk Institute of Consumer Service Technology

Omsk Institute of Consumer Service Technology is a university in Omsk, Russia.

History[]

The university was organized on May 26, 1977 on the basis of the Omsk Educational and Consulting Point of the Russian State University of Tourism and Services Studies under the name Omsk Technological Institute of Consumer Services (Омский технологический институт бытового обслуживания).

In 1997, the institute was renamed to the Omsk State Institute of Service (Омский государственный институт сервиса).[1]

In 2011, the institute was renamed again to the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education "Omsk State Institute of Service" (Федеральное государственное бюджетное образовательное учреждение высшего профессионального образования «Омский государственный институт сервиса»).

On February 26, 2016, the institute was renamed a third time to the Omsk University of Design and Technology (Омский университет дизайна и технологий). On March 17, 2016, OmUDT became part of the Omsk State Technical University as the Institute of Design and Technology.
