Oromocto (ship)

Several ships have been named Oromocto for Oromocto, New Brunswick:

  • was a snow of 201 tons (bm) launched at Saint John. She foundered whilst on a voyage from Liverpool to New Brunswick. Her crew were rescued.
  • Oromocto (1813 ship) was launched at Oromocto. She then traded between England and the Caribbean. She started trading between England and India but in 1820 she became leaky on her way back to England from India, put into Marahan, and was condemned there in 1821.
  • was launched at Oromocto. She was a barque of 609 tons (bm) that was lost in 1871 while carrying timber from Quebec to Liverpool.
  • was launched at Oromocto. She was a brigantine of 458 GRT. She stranded in South Bay, Wexford, Ireland in November 1876; her registry was closed on 8 August 1877.
