Osher Weiss

Dayan (Rabbi) Osher (Usher, Asher) Zelig Weiss[1](1957- ) is the current Rosh Kollel of Machon Minchas Osher L’Torah V’Horaah. He grew up in a Klausenberger family in Borough Park, Brooklyn.[2]

Biography[]

Rabbi Weiss is the author of the Minchas Osher seforim on Moadim, Torah, and responsa, an Av Beis Din, Rosh Kollel, posek, and is well known in Haredi circles for having traveled to the United States with Rabbi Aharon Leib Shteinman and Rabbi Yaakov Aryeh Alter, the Gerrer Rebbe.

Family[]

Rabbi Weiss was married to Rebbetzin Pesiah,[3] the daughter of Rabbi Yisrael Aryeh Zalmanowitz, together they had 6 children.[3] Rebbetzin Pesiah died in 2018.[3]
