"Out of Control" is the first single released by the American rock band Hoobastank from their highly successful album The Reason. It charted at No. 16 on the US Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart and at No. 9 on the US Hot Modern Rock Tracks chart.

The song describes the singer, a person who is out of control after blindly following someone's orders, losing that persons trust, and not knowing what to do or who to trust, looking for answers to his pain and sadness[citation needed].

The song also features backing vocals by Ian Watkins and Jamie Oliver of the Welsh alternative metal band Lostprophets[citation needed].

Music video[]

The music video was directed by Nathan Cox[citation needed]. It features the group going into a club and performs while getting dizzy as crowds cheer them on.
