Päivi Törmä

Päivi Törmä is a Finnish physics professor of Aalto University.[1][2][3] She graduated with a master's degree from the University of Oulu and the University of Cambridge.[citation needed] She earned her Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Helsinki.[citation needed]

The research topics of her research group are theoretical and experimental quantum physics, especially nanophotonics and quantum many-body physics.[1] One of the goals of her research project is to study the limits of superconductivity theoretically. Her group's research findings have been published in natural science publications such as Science, Nature Physics and Nature Communications.[1][3]

Törmä is a member of the Finnish Academy of Sciences, the Academy of Engineering and the Finnish Science Association.[citation needed]
