Motorsports[]

PIAA is active in supporting motorsports, it started by supplying lamps rally teams in 1982. After that, the field gradually expanded, and now in addition to four-wheel races such as rallies and touring cars (24 Hours Nürburgring, Spa 24 Hours, ), two wheels such as Suzuka 8 Hours and FIA World Endurance Championship. Due to its high quality, many teams use not only lamps but also water-repellent wipers, aluminum wheels, etc. for both 4 and 2 wheels both in Japan and overseas.

Support for former racer Satoru Nakajima has been deeply connected since 1986. At the 1991 Japanese Grand Prix, which was Nakajima's last race at Suzuka, the support Hinomaru flag of "Thank you Satoru Nakajima" was developed.

PIAA continued to sponsor his team, Nakajima Racing, even after Nakajima retired from active racing. It withdrew from sponsorship in 2009, but resumed support in 2012.

The WRC supplies Hyundai, Citroën, and Toyota with PIAA lamps and water-repellent wipers.[3]
