Ryan's cricketing career began at the age of just sixteen, with a series of Youth One-day Internationals in the Under-19 World Cup in January 2000, though, since 2002, he has represented Argentina at national level. Ryan has been selected for the Americas Championship tournaments of 2002 and 2004. He made three appearances for Argentina in 2006, in the newly formed World Cricket League.
