Pacifique Niyongabire (born 15 March 2000), is an Australian professional footballer who plays as a winger for Perth Glory.
Club career[]
Adelaide United[]
After impressing head coach Marco Kurz while playing for Adelaide United Youth in the Y-League, Niyongabire made his professional debut in a Round 16 clash against Sydney FC, replacing Mark Ochieng in the 80th minute in a 0–0 draw.[1] On 6 March 2018, he signed a 2+1⁄2-year scholarship contract with the club.[2] In June 2021, he was released by Adelaide United after making 24 appearances.[3]
Personal life[]
Niyongabire was born in war-torn Burundi, and spent his early childhood in Tanzania. At the age of 7, his family migrated to Australia.[4] His older brother, Elvis Kamsoba, currently plays for Sydney FC and the Burundi national football team.
