Panicos Nicolaou is a Cypriot banker, and the chief executive officer (CEO) of the Bank of Cyprus, the country's largest bank, since September 2019.

Biography[]

Nicolaou earned a BSc in Financial Services from the School of Management, UMIST, UK, a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (Metsovio), Greece and an MSc in Mechanical & Industrial Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign, US.[1][2]

Nicolaou joined the Bank of Cyprus in 2001, rising to director of corporate banking in June 2016.[1][2] In September 2019, he succeeded John Hourican as CEO.[1]
