Parachela hypophthalmus is a species of cyprinid in the genus Parachela.[1] It inhabits Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia, in Sumatra and Borneo[2] and has a maximum length of 16.5 centimetres (6.5 in).[1] It has been assessed as least concern by the IUCN,[2] and is considered harmless to humans.[1]
