In the 14th century (from 1302 to 1310), Parakkamabahu III reigned as King of Dambadeniya, which is a medieval kingdom that existed from 1220–1354 and is now called Sri Lanka. He succeeded his uncle Bhuvanaikabahu I as who was succeeded by Bhuvanaikabahu II.
