"Passion and the Opera" is the first promotional single[1] by Finnish symphonic metal band Nightwish, released from their album Oceanborn, the single was shipped only in a cardsleeve.[2] The song was played live only between 1999 and 2001, but since 2007 Tarja Turunen, Nightwish ex-frontwoman, is playing the song live with her own band, although when she does, the riff that starts off the song on the album is missing.

The single's cover art features the owl with the same scroll as in the cover of Oceanborn and Wishmaster.[3]
