Past Present is an album by jazz guitarist John Scofield that was recorded in March 2015 and released on September 25, 2015.[1] Scofield is joined by saxophonist Joe Lovano, bassist Larry Grenadier, and drummer Bill Stewart.[1] This album is a reunion for Scofield and Lovano, who recorded four albums together between 1990 and 2003.[1] (Time on My Hands, Meant to Be, What We Do, and Oh!.) Stewart played drums on two of these Scofield/Lovano collaborations.

The album earned Scofield a Grammy Award for Best Jazz Instrumental Album.[2] The title track earned Scofield a nomination for Best Improvised Jazz Solo.[2]
