Patate is a 1962 French film starring Jean Marais and Danielle Darrieux. It is based upon the play by Marcel Achard, adapted by Robert Thomas (director), who also directed.

It was also known as Friend of the Family.

According to Fox records, the film needed to earn $1,800,000 in rentals to break even and made $855,000, meaning it made a loss.[2]
