The Patna Half Marathon is the first international-level Half marathon being organised in Patna, Bihar, India to celebrate the victory achieved in 1971 Bangladesh Liberation war & Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. First edition will be held on 19th February 2012, with the theme of Run to Celebrate. The marathon is also the part of Swarnim Vijay Diwas Celebrations.

The event's purpose is to bring an international sporting event to Patna, to promote the city to outside interests, and to promote health and fitness in the area.[1][2]

There are three categories for contestant:[3]

  • Victory Run – 21 km
  • Freedom Run – 10 km
  • Celebration Run – 03 km

Timings[]

  • Victory Run – 7 A.M
  • Freedom Run – 8 A.M.
  • Celebration Run - 9 A.M.

  • 2nd Prize 2,00,000
  • 3rd Prize 1,00,000
  • 4th- 6th Prize 50,000
  • 7th- 10th Prize 25,00

  • 2nd Prize 75,000
  • 3rd Prize 50,000
  • 4th- 6th Prize 25,000

Patna Half Marathon 2021 is being organized by NCC directorate Bihar & Jharkhand in association with Govt. of Bihar & its various departments.
