Pavlo Polehenko (Ukrainian: Павло Ігорович Полегенько; born 6 January 1995 in Chernihiv, Ukraine) is a Ukrainian football defender who plays for Inhulets Petrove.

Career[]

Polehenko is a product of the Yunist Chernihiv and FC Dynamo youth sportive schools. His first trainers were Oleksandr Ustenko (in FC Yunist) and Oleksandr Shpakov and Oleksiy Drotsenko (in FC Dynamo).[2]

Hoverla Uzhhorod (on loan)[]

He spent his career in the Ukrainian Premier League Reserves and in July 2015 went on loan to FC Hoverla in the Ukrainian Premier League. Polehenko made his debut in the Ukrainian Premier League for club FC Hoverla Uzhhorod in a match against FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk entraining in the second half-time on 19 July 2015.[3]

Dynamo-2 Kyiv (on loan)[]

In 2015 he moved to Dynamo-2 Kyiv,[4][5] where he played 22 matches in the season 2015–16 in Ukrainian First League.[6][7]

Zirka Kropyvnytskyi[]

In 2016, after the withdrawal of Dynamo-2 Kyiv,[8] he moved to Zirka Kropyvnytskyi in Ukrainian Premier League in the season 2016–17, where he played 19 matches where he scored 1 goal.[9]

Mariupol[]

In 2018 he moved to Mariupol, where played for two seasons in 38 matches, and scored one goal.[10]

Desna Chernihiv[]

In Summer 2020 he signed a contract with Desna Chernihiv, the main club in Chernihiv, where he was born.[11] On 4 October 2020 he made his debut with the new team against Shakhtar Donetsk at the Chernihiv Stadium for the Ukrainian Premier League in the season 2020–21.[12] On 30 January 2021 he played against KF Shkëndija, replacing Yukhym Konoplya in the second half in the friendly match ended 3–1 for Desna.[13] On 3 February 2021, he played against Ahrobiznes, replacing Maksym Imerekov in the second half.[14] On 4 February 2021, he played against Rudar in the friendly match ended 2–0 for Desna.[15] On 9 February 2021, he scored against Ventspils in the friendly match in Turkey, ended 2–3 for Ventspils.[16]At the end of May his contract with Desna was ended with mutual agreement.[17]

Inhulets Petrove[]

In May 2021 he signed for Inhulets Petrove in Ukrainian Premier League.[18][19]He made his debut with the new team against Shakhtar Donetsk at the NSC Olimpiyskiy in Kyiv.[20]On 22 September 2021 he played in Ukrainian Cup against LNZ Cherkasy for the 32 Round.[21]On 10 December 2021 he scored against Desna Chernihiv in Ukrainian Premier League and provided the pass for the first goal giving the victory in the season 2021-22 at the Zirka Stadium in Kropyvnytskyi for 2-1.[22][23][24][25]
