Pawar (surname)

Pawar (also spelled as Pavar[1] and Puar) is an Indian surname found among Koli, Maratha or Mahar castes in Maharashtra.[2][3][4][1] In the north region of Punjab and Rajasthan, it may be also found in the Jatt or Rajput or Gujjar caste.[5] Pawar is also a clan among the Maratha & Chhetri clan of Nepal.[citation needed]
