Peeter Lilje

Peeter Lilje (13 October 1950 Valga – 28 October 1993 Oulu) was an Estonian conductor.[1]

In 1974, he graduated from Tallinn State Conservatory.[1]

From 1975 to 1993, he was the conductor of Estonian National Opera. From 1990 to 1993, he was the principal conductor of Oulu Symphony Orchestra.[1]

From 1984 to 1987, he taught conducting at Tallinn State Conservatory (later Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre).[1]

Awards:

  • 1981 Merited Artist of the Estonian SSR[1]
  • 1987 People's Artist of the Estonian SSR[1]
