The 18th Pennsylvania House of Representatives District is located in southeastern Pennsylvania. The seat is occupied by Kathleen Tomlinson, who has held the seat since a special election on March 17, 2020. The seat was vacant for two months after Gene DiGirolamo left the seat which he held since 1995 to join the Bucks County Board of Commissioners.
District profile[]
Pennsylvania's 18th District is located in Bensalem Township, Bucks County near Philadelphia. The state representative was Gene DiGirolamo, who had represented the district since 1995, but vacated the seat after being elected as a Bucks County Commissioner in 2019, and taking office in 2020. A special election will be held March 17, 2020. DiGirolamo was the successor of a series of Republicans to preside over the district. The township is home to Bensalem High School, which has an enrollment of 1,889 students. The district includes the following areas:
