Peter Milton Hayek (born November 16, 1957) (died December 3, 2021) is a retired American professional ice hockey defenseman who played in one National Hockey League game for the Minnesota North Stars during the 1981–82 NHL season. He played his college hockey at the University of Minnesota under Herb Brooks. He won the 1979-80 Men's NCAA Ice Hockey Championship and was on the roster (JV team) for the 1976-77 championship. While at the University of Minnesota, Hayek was part of the freshman class of 1976-77 that many consider the greatest in Gopher hockey history. He has since coached youth hockey in Minnesota.
