The Philippines women's national rugby union team, nicknamed the "Lady Volcanoes" first played international sevens in 2010 at the Asian Championships, and in the same year played their first XVs rugby in a non-test match developmental tournament involving Laos and Thailand. Their first test match was in 2011. They competed in the 2011 and 2012 editions of the Asian Championship.

They went on a hiatus from full 11-a-side rugby until 2018, when they competed in the Division I Asian Championships.[2]
